Starting at Okayama station and taking a train to Uno port, or meeting at Uno port based on your request, we take a ferry to Naoshima. Spend the day with your guide exploring outside and inside arts on this unique island including iconic Yellow Pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama, The Art House Project, a series of old houses transformed into art works and Chichu Art Museum built mostly underground to avoid affecting the beautiful natural scenery of the Seto Inland sea. Visit the Benesse Art House, the most well known museum on Naoshima. It is based on the concept of "coexistence of nature, art and architecture." and designed by Tadao Ando. Naoshima has many small paths and beaches so relax and enjoy its nature and beautiful view of the Shikoku islands in the distance. We can rent a bike or take mini buses. There are a few taxis available. Ferry might not be available on bad weather. You can either cancel the tour or visit Korakuen Japanese Garden and Kurashiki historical district instead. It will be very crowded at high season and activities can be limited during holidays.
